My Mac mini seems to loose it's memory?! Please help,thanks!

i have mac mini , every time switch off , switch off again seems revert of original states after set dock set mail , general settings across thing, again not of changes. be? im baffled. dont have original installation discs still otherwise have re booted software , stuff please thank you

sorry forgot mac mini 1.5ghz intel core solo 1gb ram @ 667mhz running tiger 10.4.11
