i have 27'" imac slight yellow tint on bottom , grey bar shadow running along bottom well. additionally, buzzing sound when brightness lowered below 50%. computer works great otherwise , don't hear buzzing when @ normal distance screen. dilemma: apple has offered send technician home replace screen, , said whould fix buzzing noise @ lower brightness @ same time.
question have people been satisified or had better luck screen replacements rather asking new computer in exchange. if i'm swapping displays same results, or exchanging computer same results or worse, rather delay interaction until real fix in place. current imac has no dead pixels, , works great except these issues. hd makes grumbling noise, think wd black caviars known bit noisy.
advice on way go appreciated. swap out display? exchange computer? stand pat?
they aren't offering new computer though, offering replace lcd.
want delay until...? don't it.
