welcome photo of day. potd thread started igary, , first posted in may, 2006 converted monthly thread in november 2007 arn. potd 1 of popular picture groups on macrumors , exceeds 500 posts , 20,000 views per month.

photo of day intended showcase best pictures. there no limit gear, imagination. p&s , film cameras welcome along dslrs. there no themes fortnightly challenge , weekly contest. no winners (or losers), either.

policies

*one photo per day - don't post multiple images in 1 message.

*quote thumbnails - if quote image has tags, convert them [img] tags before replying. post comment thumbnail , save space. failure [img] in quotes still problem @ time. fix that.

*multi-quote - comment on several photos, click multi-quote button. puts comments in 1 post. moderators that. observe [img] policy here, (especially).

*sfw (safe work) - site - wide rule. if wouldn't show in public place, it's nsfw (not safe work). think before post.

optional - describe photo.tell , took it. if know exif data of photo, include it. following exif fields recommended: camera; iso; focal length; shutter/aperture; lens.
