im little confused doing archive , install in sl. there not option there in tiger. spoke apple care , told click on install mac os x icon on install disk archive , install. after reading old posts on subject, method seem questionable. ideas?

don't question it. advice applecare rep gave correct. in snow leopard, there aren't options type of install. installer archives , installs system automatically, preserving update level, once click install.
