i plan on purchasing 15" mbp, cannot decide model get.
can base 15" 2.4 i5 1700 educational discount. time replace hdd 7200rpm 500 gb, 1790.
because mid level 1 offers greater discount, ordering upgraded hdd installed 1894.
understand long don't break swapping hd, warranty should not voided. deciding factor there processor... small bump in processor @ worth $100.
i 2.4ghz 15". you'll notice no difference in performance 540m. if can save $50 more 2.53ghz model still don't think worth it. if plan on swapping out hd sometime in near future ssd go base hdd. go 7200 rpm hard drive if don't plan on upgrading ssd while. recommend high resolution screen. you'll have decide whether matte or glossy visiting local apple store.
luck purchase , remember applecare can added later on.
