i've had macbook pro while , there has been 1 thing kept bothering me. whenever use cpu/graphic intensive, temp shoots , stays up. idle @ around 36c, after use youtube or play game, temps stay @ around 55c after exiting programs , @ 99% idle. it's fine when i'm plugged in, when i'm using battery, 2.5 hours brightness on low , wifi/bt off. checking stats on istat, battery using 19watts @ idle.
i've tried restarting / cold boot it still stays high. way temps low reset pram. once use application besides textedit, temps shoot , stay way. gets annoying reset pram each time want use battery extended amount of time. took apple store , did give me replacement battery didn't fix anything.
i've tried 10.5 , 10.6 , happens on both. have no idea going on.
my 15" mbp late 2008 2.8 ghz, has terrible battery life. 2.5 hours web browsing without intensive videos high battery life video. , less 1 hour high performance video.
temperatures, using handbrake convert dvd iphone , below 80c, check tomorrow how stays @ idle , post.
terrible battery life... supposed spec?
