macbook pro shuts down on movement - RAM issue??

hi, not sure if i'm posting in right area.. sorry if i'm not.

macbook pro (early 2009 model) has begun shut down on movement. on restarting 3 flashes (a ram issue) , works again if reset pram. takes while tho. first crashed after took downstairs set new internet connection.
have realised after experiencing problem multiple times mac prefers have front (the part touchpad is) 1 inch higher (where screen is) noticed after getting work multiple times, trying put down watch dvd on table, , put down fully, crashed. place on table small book under , hasnt crashed 24 hours. feels me ram may not seated , has few positions wants work in.
there other thing besides ram not being seated may causing rather weird issue?? i've had ram issues before, , feel buying new ram , getting install me, if it's else dont want go down path.

appreciate advice re this.

;)

sounds more problem hard drive platters, i'm not sure how ram in macbook seated, moving around or something. if that's case, there must broken or severely worn out.
