Former U.S. Labor Secretary Defends Apple on Antitrust Issues

in widely-publicized blog post today, robert reich, served u.s. secretary of labor under bill clinton, offers thoughts on rumored antitrust inquiry being considered federal regulators on apple's exclusion of cross-compilers creation of applications running on iphone os devices. reich argues federal trade commission's efforts targeting apple better spent on investigating wall street banks, federal law excludes financial industry ftc's purview.

reich's position apple's move not anti-competitive, many other companies rapidly innovating in sector, , if apple's decision results in less competition on iphone platform, apple 1 suffer.
