dear forum,
after replacing screen on iphone 3g, going except dock isn't working. weird phone charges can when power off , phone not seem charging (i.e no bar pops etc.). also, computer cannot recognize iphone, nor can accessory. when plug iphone something, power on if recognizes connected something. please help!

had similar problem iphone recently. bought mine month ago , 1 day plugged computer , wasn't being recognized (no battery pop up, no sync, etc.) plugged wall adapter , still wasn't working. when plugged dock got surround-sound appeared being recognized, still wasn't charging. ended having take apple store , replaced phone. turned out had faulty connector (it bent or inside). later found out apparently have careful connect phone to. may know this, plugging iphone other computer , using wire didn't come phone can detrimental iphone.
i.e. used plug phone surround-sound suspect may have caused damage because dock plug not made carry iphone. result believe bent internal connector, rendering useless else.
not sure if totally relevant case, may give insight can on end.
