note: i'm not native english, there might grammatical/spelling errors ;-) --------
hi there,
i'm going college next year, i'd have laptop instead of desktop solution.
i'm quite sure want mac, i've heard pretty amazing stories it, , @ school, have bought bunch of imac's , love how works.
but, seeing travelling lot , hopping table table desktop not option. also, emailed college, , advised me laptop.
because of this, i've come point of making choice, one? there's no need fast choice, college starts in september, thought handy take enough time , make educated decision.
need portability, 17" out of question.
what needs are: - portability. - i'm photography, has able handle photshop/aperture smoothly. - battery-life, minimum 7 hours on mb, won't problem, thought i'd mention anyway. -ability play videos smoothly on 24" 1920*1080 screen. - (tiny) bit of video editing, not heavy stuff. not high on request list.
figured mb , 13" mbp best choices, hence portable.
yet, i'm not sure if powerful enough able play 24" full hd videos smoothly. also, i'm not sure if powerfull enough able 'snapy' photoshop heavy stuff. (12 mpix./raw correcting/brushing/whatever)
questions are: - 15" mbp worth €600? if not: - mb or 13" mbp?
-edit: please elaborate answers, me in making decision! thanks!-
hope guys/galls can me shedding light on these tough questions!
thanks!
any current mac handle aperture fine.
"portability" isn't issue of mac notebooks, subjective. people whine how 15" big, heavy, whatever- i've never had problem it. 13" smaller , lighter, "more portable" mean?
think screen real estate come in handy aperture, best thing go store , @ both. if budget allows, i'd go 15".
