i looking airport extreme connect few hard drives want make sure want. here need:
-have multiple users connect drive @ 1 time
-share printer
-use time machine disk
-work windows
-ability set port forwarding games
-have drives accessible remotely
know of these things sure, how them. , realistic wireless speeds usb data?
i share printer on aebs , works fabulously.
can use airdisk (disk sharing) on aebs, well, , assume works reasonably well, although haven't tried. however, cannot officially time machine backups; there kb article (don't have link handy) stating apple not support setup, , i'd hesitant try important backups on you'd have trick work in first place.
port forwarding supported , easy configure airport setup utility. use mine ssh (which use vnc).
can't comment on remote access of drives, have never tried that, either.
