i needed turn ipod touch off, went through process soft boot ipod when shutting down froze had hold down power + home in order hard boot it. wont turn on, when go turn on start screen show apple logo won't go further power down. can't put factory default setting or gives me apple logo 5 minutes shuts off. wont turn off if plug itunes, suggestions on can power on? or should bring apple store , hope not dead. , note ipod touch 1st gen , has latest software installed.
i'd guess it's dead, completely. barely alive in final days, , turning off did kill it. few questions...
did buy apple or retail store, or did buy individual?
, did notice performing little slower usual, , locking recently?
got first 2nd gen touch weeks after came out, , used 8-10 hours every day year , couple months. in last couple weeks of use, noticed being sluggish , restored couple times see if help. , woke 1 morning, popped earphones in listen morning podcasts, , hit home button turn on. had died overnight, , wouldn't come on. tried fix on , over, in futility. took apple store , had trade in discount on refurb.
