time pre-order open?
how did pre-orders sell out in states?
if pre-order pick up, still have pay ipad when order?

apple started taking preorders in u.s. on march 12 , ended on march 29. ipad went on sale april 3. of course, always, ymmv.
if take store reservations -- give them email. pay ipad in-store @ pick up. in u.s. had until 3pm on launch day p/u or lost our reservation.
