new iphone user (purchased in january of year). sadly using at&t (had hopes of transferring verizon summer, have been dashed). went thru february update, before knew jb & unlock , shsh repositories. main function want ability tether.
have read differing accounts of possible:
1) folks saying wait spirit jb, has unknown release date
2) found few posts can downgrade mc 3gs using restore function , downloaded version of 3.1.2? , follow redsn0w?
has tried downgrade on mc 3gs 3.1.3?
problems if try this?
try, since not tech geek or mac expert, bit hesitant. suggestions?

i'm drawing blank on mean 'mc', if have 3gs on 3.1.3 has never been jailbroken, cannot jailbreak it, period. there conflicting/confusing info out there, if check forum you'll see mean being impossible.
when spirit comes out there jailbreak these phones, no unlock understand it.
