For those with 3G iPads: question regarding plans


apparently availability of international plans revealed in coming months or whatever, in meantime have question regarding how plans work.

apparently facilitate management of ipad 3g account you're issued number billing.

walk store in canada, request sim card , number, , when home call carrier saying have "phone" (the average customer support agent won't know ipads et al) , add data package number/account no voice?

if succeed in getting data added sim card (in canada, bell has $30/mo unlimited plan anyway) trim sim card, shove in ipad , ready go?
 

i did that. bought ipad on , came home , plugged fido sim card (i had cut card) ipad. have 3g plan on enabled , working... signal keep been forwarded rogers portal. called fido , asked them change plan iphone plan, did , problem persisted. other people having same problem rogers , fido people have been successful without problem bell.

if plan version go bell or wait until end of month until fido/rogers release ipad data plan. seem blocking ipads until have plan available.
