hey guys, have question. have installed windows xp through bootcamp on mbp 2009, 2 gb ram, 2.26 ghz, nvidia 9400m. thing computer gets extremely hot when playing 'guild wars' on lowest setting. not graphics or cpu intensive game, mean old toshiba 900mhz celeron processor, 2gb ram vista laptop can run without heat issues. there way fix this? have tried smcfancontrol method, doesn't work me because have shut off bootcamp.exe in windows , put computer sleep , turn on in order keyboard backlight turn off. mbp , windows xp understand mean that. please help, advice appreciated. in advance.
did tests on 2 different laptops. using game run on both systems because toshiba cannot play bioshock or that. playing on full screen, medium settings. played same area on both systems. macbook pro has nvidia geforce 9400m, toshiba has intel gma 4500m. fps on both same, running smooth no lag.
macbook pro 13in, 2009, 2.26 ghz core 2 duo, 2gb ram, using windows xp through bootcamp. cpu temp after playing guild wars 15 minutes: 83 degrees c.
toshiba satellite 15.4in, 2009, 2.20 ghz, celeron 900 (i made error before, chip called 900, not 900mhz though), 2gb ram, using windows vista. cpu temp after playing guild wars 15 minutes: 56 degrees c. btw thing $300.
whats going on? should getting hot fast? notice mbp takes while before fan starts up. problem or aluminum heats more? bootcamp issue? please me understand. thanks.
