hi guys, first post here
have had white 13" macbook 2 , half years. 1 year in sister broke screen, , have not repaired due fact apple charged $800 or whatever ($400?) , couldn't afford that, has pretty been lying around 1 , half years. have realized can done $200 or less. pretty basic, 1gb ram, 2.16 ghz c2d , 120 gb hdd.
video editing using imovie , final cut on imac (2gb ram, 2.66 ghz c2d) able on-the-go well. student too, make sense me have laptop well/ in addition desktop computer.
here questions:
1. i'm thinking 15" macbook pro, basic model, notice large difference between new , old? if so, be?
2. how differences between imac? (performance wise)
3. broken screen, think old computer worth?

1. see difference, has 4 times more ram , can handle twice threads @ faster speed.
2. noticeable, not much. mbp has twice ram.
3. use server via screen sharing or use ebay find out prices.
