i have 17" 2.8ghz mbp, it's previous edition replaced in latest release (purchased year ago). i'm considering selling current mbp , replacing new i7, i'm not sure it's worth it. i'm photographer , of editing on laptop, boost in speed *should* workflow. i'm p/t student, qualify academic pricing, , free ipod they're offering.
think worth upgrading? think i'll notice speed increase? based on similar prices i've found online, upgrade wind costing me few hundred bucks, we're not talking ton of money here, won't worth if won't notice performance increase.
also, ram in current mbp work in i7? specs same on crucial.com, part numbers different.
