Old 2.8C2D 17inch or New i5 15inch for my needs

hello everybody,

maybe can me.
mind blows when try decide whether new 15 inch 2.4 i5 256mb 330m or older 2.8 c2d 17 inch 512mb 9600gt , 1920x1280 screen resolution.

i'd use mbp photoshop, indesign, illustrator, doing h264 encoding , maybe games...

if give me clue... great.
