i have sony dcr-vx2000 , i've been figuring out on camera. on of camera there's button says ae , above button says program. when press button , scroll through options ae a, ae s, picture of golfing, picture of sunset , moon, , picture of candle. because of last 3 options i'm assuming has lighting of you're shooting, don't know i'm changing. changing when switch between these? difference between ae , ae s? appreciate info can provide. thanks.
ae = auto exposure.
ae s = auto exposure aperture priority: set the camera's aperture , camera automatically set shutter speed proper exposure. important when want have more control on depth-of-field - although full manual exposure give better control.
ae s = auto exposure shutter priority. opposite of ae a. set shutter speed , camera choose correct aperture setting. mode can when want shoot fast moving action.
should able find out other icons mean reading camera's user manual. if don't have one, should able download pdf version ... or purchase used copy on ebay.
