Database and document manager program

i looking mac program can act both database (similar excel) , document manager (where can put important documents).
ideal single platform both kinds of data stored , searched/retrieved.

know filemaker can this; when want put different kinds of data have creating new databases , it's hard make searches in of them. bento more effective on this; have limited folder/sub-folder/sub-sub folder creation options , limited sharing other people.

there many options. devonthink pro because of amazing workflow including integration document scanners , ocr. archives webpages or else. on higher end , takes little getting used to.
