i'm buy canon 7d. have basic video editing s/w, apple imovie. i've heard video format dslr's can edited programs .

the eos 7d records .mov format using h264 codec.
need transcode files before can edit them, h264 not meant editing. use mroogle search similar threads on how edit in imovie kind of footage.
recommend mpeg streamclip transcode video files .mov files using apple intermediate codec, accepted imovie, fce , fcp.
