Developers and new iPhone screen resolution..

kinda new here, don't kill me this.

new iphone found, said had higher resolution screen. high, couldn't see individual pixels. question is, wouldn't apple have send message developers saying make apps designed xxx x xxx screen resolution? or after new iphone announced?

the rumor double pixels in each direction. allow existing apps "stretched out" along pixels , new apps can built higher resolution. solution wouldn't break of existing apps.
