i realize how multitasking in 4.0 works allowing developers access 7 apis... mean have re-open app (with load time) every time? follow?
example. i'm using tomtom app , interrupted phone call. yes know gps api keeps running in background , continue recieve turn turn directions... hang , re-open tomtom (either homescreen or multitasking launcher, believe serve identical functions), have wait 20 seconds app load?
or i'm playing angry birds, , recieve text message. respond , reopen angry birds. have wait 10 second launch time?
these wait times may seem miniscule @ first glance, feel defeats (part of) purpose of multitasking.
or if there no load time mean after open app once never have wait load again until restart iphone? can open 200 apps , switch , forth between of them "preloaded". sounds me awfully large memory hog...
remember have no task manager, because failure...
know apple smart have probably thought of this... never know. implemented sort of system keeps apps preloaded till x number of apps open or x amount of ram being used , quietly start killing off apps starting "oldest" one.
apps use freeze states pop action last left them. assume they'll update take account changes in location, etc.
