data safe on mac (and password in keychain)? suppose average thief not know how reset password, esp without install disks?
data in sparse-bundle file on time capsule? can browse though without knowing mac's or time capsule admin password?
how free flowing air latest model time capsules require? thinking bolting replacement (the insurance provide) inside cupboard.
oh, , can music bought itunes, prevent loosing when next sync iphone?

1. if know serial numbers, report them apple stolen
2. check local craigslist, check ebay nz , other sales forum imac

firmware password set, worthless until thief gets install dvds.
1. unless thief can guess password keychain data safe data if password reset. keychain must unlocked old password.
2. far time machine backups, without password, should not able view data. don't have time capsule, tm backups server, imagine mount share need password well. if in keychain, not able use if reset password.
3. imagine long signal can pass through material (wood example) should fine.
