Technically, Anandtech says that the 1680x1050 matte screen is awesome

have hundred questions.

saw matte screen in store prior reading this. thought great...but other apple screens--great. looked 17" matte screen me, @ 15". never have guessed 412 nits. 687 contrast ratio--matte. think glossy automatically gives 100 or so. @ high end of high end both nits sure , contrast ratio. accurate b/c appreciate high nits working near window , watching videos b/c that's how roll if true videophiles dim screens when calibrated. people full brightness type of folks.

how big difference 300 400 nits? b/c current mbp supposed 300 nits, yet 400 nits did not appreciably brighter me in store. went in morning , there alot of natural light flooding apple store's room not near window.

also, color gamut 75%. 100% like? recall sony z screen being 100%. did nice, vibrant. tested samsung. if lg, @ least 400 nits? wouldn't 300 (even though 300 know still bright). in old generations, found samsung , lg different in color tones in terms of brightness , contrast , viewing angles, etc, of same quality.

importantly, can source panel , can put in current macbook pro? that's reason want upgrade. heck, can buy laptop using panel (windows laptop fine) b/c panel want!
