i got new quad core. need sell old dual 1.8 g5. want clean install of os. have searched around learn how seems doing wrong. have original os disc system came with. thought should start disc, clean install , run 10.4 updater disc.
when put original disc in , click "install mac osx", prompts me password , enter it. restarts , no install options load. restarted mac. no way move forward install. read somewhere hold "c" key when restarting. no luck there either.
can tell m do? want sell computer clean os , none of old stuff on it.

try going -> system preferences -> startup disk , selecting restore disk there.
