5400 vs 7200 vs SSD in HTPC

i know numbers say: ssd faster 7200rpm faster 5400rpm. want know real world difference in htpc.

mac mini connected tv , runs plex. has 4gb of ram, 9400m, , 5400rpm harddrive. of media stored on nas , speed has never been issue me, menus take little more second load- not big deal. acquired brand new 7200rpm drive , thinking putting in mini. began wonder if worth time , effort it. i'm pretty comfortable upgrade i've done on plenty of mini's question more of: notice speed increase? if ssd (would need small 32gb one), notice speed increase on that?

let me know, of upgraded htpc 5400 7200/ssd or if upgraded 7200 ssd. i'm going end doing anyway i'd still hear guys have say. thanks.

i boot main xbmc machine off file server tftp, , navigation instant. same using usb sticks/cf cards boot others.
have little experience plex running on mac, surprised if faster hard disk made difference experience (other quicker boot time?), if media remote.
