i'm going nyc in late june, , i'm thinking buying ipad.
however, possible pay partially cash , partially credit card?
i'd pay 400 usd cash, , rest visa card.

yes, can buy ipad cash , credit card. since apple changed policy able use cash, won't problem. i'm not 100%, won't have have ipad set in store either, since using credit card of it.
other question- answer pretty hard say. how long in nyc? few days? reserve few days before leave. week? day or 2 before leave. more week? day before leave. also, not have 48 hours pick ipad. reservation 24 hours- no more. and, understand, apple strict on 24 hour period, may differ store, knows.
again, answer when should reserve tough. because end of june, demand might substantially lessen time, might not. also, nyc store waiting list put on might have different wait times. , length of time in nyc. plan accordingly. if there week or so, no problem ordering 1-3 days before leave.
, on side note, sure able reserve in-store online? believe apple employee must reserve in-store. wasn't aware website. wrong this, have not had reserve ipad, make sure 100% sure this.
