Apple Retail Stores Run Dry of iPad Wi-Fi + 3G Models

appleinsider yesterday reported apple's retail stores in u.s. running short of ipad wi-fi + 3g models, less 1 week since models launched. report noted ten stores contacted had no 3g models on hand , directing customers apple's "notify me" waiting list service. many of stores had run out of wi-fi-only ipad models.

bloomberg follows up on story today, reaching out @ least nineteen stores around country find complete lack of availability of 3g models.
apple announced earlier week had sold on 1 million ipads in first 28 days of availability in united states. company continues struggle meeting demand, shipping estimates in company's online store checking in @ 5-7 business days models.

despite issues ipad supplies in u.s., apple today announced models launch in nine additional countries on may 28th, 9 more countries set follow in july. pre-orders first batch of international markets begin next monday.

i have hard time believing apple doesn't have way create more making. running out way keep listed 'hot item' (as if such tactic necessary). artificial "struggle" evidenced launching ipad in 9 additional countries before satisfy demand in first one.
