i upgraded snow leopard doing clean install, , upgraded fcs 3 @ same time. updated latest version. i've got issue whereby 7 or 8 times out of 10, fcp hang indefinitely partway through loading (generally after it's finished loading video effects) if try , start while dv device connected , switched on. turn device off, carries on loading normal.
same thing happens more not if try , switch dv device on *after* you've got fcp , running. restarting mac fixes it, doesn't. trashing prefs seems make no difference @ all. it's incredibly frustrating, can imagine.
never had problem using fcp 5.x or 6.x under leopard, , i'm still using same dv cam did then. suggestions?
it nice if you'd told dv device (make , model). remember, we're not mind readers.
