New computer... how do I get my stuff on it?

ahoy,

so, picked new 15" macbook pro hell hole ups , i'm trying of music, apps, movies, old desktop, new laptop. have both iphone , ipad , figured easy connecting both of pro synching them - though contents copied on pro - no such luck.

there anyway other setting shared drive or using external hdd? thanks!
