so thinking of buying macbook pro. have never owned mac before, , looking solid (but not top-of-the-line) gaming machine. price range $1,200-$1,800. aware there better gaming computers price (i have been considering alienware m15x),but wanted fresh experience of mac. cosmetic of macbooks, big draw-in me.
the set-up looking @ is:
15-inch: 2.4ghz
intel core i5
4gb memory
320 gb hard drive
intel hd graphics
nvidia geforce gt 330m 256mb
cost of rig $1,799, not willing upgrade higher macbook models.
here gaming questions:
can machine run world of warcraft @ high settings?
team fortress 2?
dragon age: origins?
starcraft 2?
if not, computer (in price range) recommend?
now general mac questions (from pc user):
have seen gaming on macbooks loads windows via bootcamp. why? have to? better gaming experience?
hear macs virus-resistant. true?
friends hate me wanting mac. bad person? (semi-serious question)
@ point, want macbook, not @ compromise of gaming. thank help.
if you're looking gaming laptop, mac isn't right place look.
msi gx640-098us - $1,099
contains both faster ati mobility 5850 , larger, faster hdd. @ stock, contains 1680x1050 screen.
so, unless want os x specific reason, wouldn't recommend macbook pro you.
