i've tried searching problem here , elsewhere, no luck, i'll post it. i've been using macbook year , have been able share files windows xp server no problem. until now. server doesn't show in places, , when click go > connect server, it's gone. so, re-enter ip address (smb://and numbers) connection failed message. i've tried entering computer name, still message cannot connect server because cannot found on network.
it's not server, because son's macbook connects fine.
i'm sure it's i've done, did connect public wi-fi other day, maybe got changed. i've run through network diagnostics limited ability, no luck.
hope here can guess i've done.
