i picky man nowadays. when thinking buying new song album may have released, buy song if listed in top 5. now, question is, new albums come out, rock category, songs on new album, never make top 5. it's old songs. hit top 5 drop off. singles new album gain popularity when has been out couple of days while songs on same album top when came out popularity of song drained , original single gains it. don't know if it's how flawed itunes is, poor music ability of has these days (hip hop, pop: yea top ones lame) or promotion of specific song.
i'm not saying know how itunes calculates it, think safe assume whenever new single comes out people don't rush out buy on first day. takes time momentum of sales reach peak. can remember last year when in uk chart black eyed peas had 2 songs in top 20, older single @ 1 or 2 while new 1 took several days climb chart.
old singles still have momentum in sales if new 1 comes out. @ end of day, when comes music newer doesn't mean better, im intrigued why seems issue you?
also, thinking further, remember seeing odd results popularity bar, because don't know how calculated, take consideration lifetime sales, or if old single gets surge in sales. reason seeing on top 5?
