i've searched on every forum , spoken guys @ apple , nobody can please bare me if long post!
couple of weeks ago bought ipod touch. brought home , not sync itunes, , came messages said
"attempting copy disc "ipod name" failed. error occurred while writing device" and
"ipod cannot synced. required disc cannot found." , 1 , unknown error occurring (error -20).
apple not sort out , replaced ipod. however, 2nd 1 has exact same problem. lead me think computer, not ipod, problem. tried out on boyfriend's computer , syncs no problems. on computer, itunes recognizes , charges ipod, cannot sync music onto ipod. however, apps downloaded wirelessly straight onto ipod have synced , transferred onto itunes no problem.
running windows xp , have system requirements listed on ipod touch box thing. have tried different usb cords, ports, etc. have restored ipod, have reinstalled itunes, done i've seen suggested on forum, apple wedbsite, , spoken apple care.
boyfriend suggested upgrading windows 7 (because that's has , ipod works on computer) help? because still same computer (sorry don't know how stuff works!) had no trouble syncing old ipod nano computer.
if you've made far reading , suggestions appreciated
