"philosophy" slow down, compose, think through settings , point of view, recompose, , capture image. result, there has not been large need sophisticated editing. developing assignments require more photography more potential editing needs. portraiture , landscape primary subjects - no action shots speak of. camera gear consists of various canon eos bodies , l glass.
so, cs5 cost me $200 upgrade - aperture cost me $200 purchase
did download aperture trial , appears more user intuitive me. photoshop more powerful difficult me use many of tools , must relearn them on , over.
have found pros , cons of each?
photoshop has lot of capability beyond basic photo editing of don't use. aperture/lightroom turn out photos while ps take photos , turn them works of art painterly styling.
photoshop has it's strong points rescuing trashed out images. scans of old prints.
have cs3 design premium , can't use upgrade ps cs5. i'm stuck in 600 upgrade/600 purchase position. i'm looking @ aperture , photoshop elements or deal on ps cs4.
