Booting Windows from the Optical Bay w/SSD

i installed intel x-25m g2 ssd in new i7 mbp. went smoothly (downloaded updated firmware part of this). 160 gb drive, plenty of room didn't want put boot camp on , i've heard there's problems bootcamp on intel ssds well.

anyway, moved regular hard drive (640 gb wd blue) on optical bay mce kit. went smoothly. drive has 2 partitions, including bootcamp windows 7.

i'm happy report, mbp boots windows 7 hard drive in optical bay. didn't have change thing. no new installs @ all. w7 recognized new ssd, installed drivers, , had single reboot. of following work fine: holding option , booting, startup disk os x on ssd, , bootcamp returning os x windows 7.

i'm posting thread windows partition of mbp @ moment, actually.

did note, there wasn't option boot mac partition optical bay (holding option on startup), ssd , windows.

super news, allows me keep w7/bootcamp, , not waste space on ssd.

hardest part of whole swap has been migrating /user files on hard drive , off ssd. lost settings in migration. error on part, machine set. happy configuration now. fast ssd, plenty of storage, both os x , w7.

:)
