i'm having weird issue aluminum macbook (2008). occurs in safari, though don't use other applications enough notice if it's occurring elsewhere. when click using trackpad (i tap, i've noticed happens physical click sometimes), link clicking on stay active color, , mouse keep pointing finger shape instead of reverting arrow, click doesn't seem register. have go , click second time, , if click somewhere else, register 1 fine, know it's not being slow. has else experienced this?

i have exact same problem. extremely annoying, don't know do. random mouse clicks don't seem register. happens in applications , both trackpad , usb , bluetooth mice have tried. have reupdated system 10.6.6 combo updater, booted install dvd check , repair startup disk, quit processes might affect mouse behavior (wacom drivers, usb overdrive). nothing helps. i'm not sure when problem first appeared or have done/installed since then.
have solved problem mal, or have clue what's going on?!
