hi all
when i'm looking @ files , folders in finder, want in list view. when open folder contains photos, want show them tiles. however, when set folder show tiles, changes *all* folder options, meaning normal files , folders start showing tiles too, when should showing list. how fix shows right view depending on contents of folder? proving major headache coming windows 7.
in addition, finder window keeps on defaulting size isn't wide enough view columns. keep on having press + button make shows columns of information. how fix shows of information straight away?
have admit, these major usability hurdles i've come across, , after week of peaceful usage, have feeling of buyers remorse again right because of this!
i'd greatful if me fix these problems before decide mbp has go back!

edit - have found 'always open in x view' box seems have solved problem! no solution other problem yet though.
for having finder remember window size:
- close finder windows
- click finder icon in dock open new finder window
- without selecting folders or items, resize window want it.
- close window.
- now when open window through dock or ctrl+n should open @ size.
