Fix Finder: wrong language and "Applications" folder empty

hi,

finder seems broken on mac.
reason, default folders such documents, applications, music , on, named in english - e.g. documents - while rest of finder in danish (just rest of os x snow leopard setup. how fix wrong-naming without breaking anything?
also, when enter applications folder going home-directory in finder , going applications, shows empty, when click applications folder in finders left panel or in dock, seems fine , dandy.

whats finder?
