i bought whole bunch of used cds , i'm trying rip them. i've done 100 , have 250 go. have been fine, 1 cd made clicking sound bike baseball cards in spokes. disc looks normal me, tried twice , did same, ejected asap , didn't rip disk.
disk made different noise, dirty cleaned , it's fine. these noises have me worried though. going wear out drive ripping of these? there statistics on how many cds drive can read (or write, not much) before failing?
no, drive should last. don't worry it.
