iPad Wi-Fi + 3G Customers in the U.S. Anxiously Await Shipping Confirmation

u.s. pre-orders wi-fi + 3g ipad models set delivery on friday, many customers have been anxiously waiting information on shipping status of orders.

since yesterday, dozens of macrumors forum members have been noting order statuses have updated "prepared shipment", revealing shipment imminent. there have been small number of reports of customers receiving shipment tracking numbers, although few screenshots or other confirmatory evidence have been provided support claims significant numbers of ipads moving shipment status yet.

many customers expecting movement on orders have occurred earlier in week, given pre-orders wi-fi ipad models began shipping on 5 days before delivery date of saturday, april 3rd. reason later start on shipments 3g-capable models appears due shipments already being stocked @ distribution points around united states.
customers in number of other countries scheduled see ipad launch late next month, apple set provide additional information , pre-ordering details on may 10th.
