i have 2010 mbp c2d 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, 250gb x5400 rpm hd. have timewarner cable's roadrunner cable modem, basic service, running through linksys wireless router. having issues video streaming/online gaming.
basic problem video (netflix, youtube) , gaming (eve) slow , choppy, both video , sound. signed eve , going through main introduction video , did not work @ all.
did speed test @ speedtest.net , download speed 8mb/s, upload of .35mb/s. have no idea if or not. confused fact while streaming through netflix on xbox 360, works great. no choppiness, no problems. internet connection or there i'm missing mbp?
other eve players shed light on settings i'm missing? anything? irritating have new laptop won't play game have friends 3 year old computers play fine.
so tried same things on wife's same mbp , working no problem. in world gives? have same amount of free memory, same specs , same everything.
argh.
