Where should my friend buy iPad 3G between Apple retail store and Best buy?

my friend go la on thursday , leave around 3 - 4 days after ipad 3g lunched(30 apr 10), 'must' ensure can himself , me . however, don't have experience purchasing apple product on release time in us.

btw, prefer best buy because think buyers may go apple retailed store. true? , friend don't want miss opportunity
