Handbrake Query

so, i'm avid user of tv , handbrake. both amazing products. have dvd library i'm wanting rip, , having strange little issue can't seem solve.

after lot of playing around, i've found 'universal' preset best, i'm going after perfect quality rather suppressing file sizes.

however, when rip dvd's , must stress, some. not many @ actually. tv unit registers movie file hd, , such puts little hd logo next movie. frustrating me, movies arn't hd @ all. dvd rips.

know i'm doing causing this? i'm bit ocd when comes uniformity amongst movie library. , having hd symbols next non hd movies kinda ticks me off.

are dvd's in pal format? if tv mark them hd when viewing them on ntsc. @ least did pal dvd ripped.
