Firefox on iPhone

i'm big fan of ff , use when surf on computers. did search , didn't find yet, if it's d/p sorry.

have been working on application iphone based on firefox sync (formerly weave sync) technology. app called firefox home, , gives iphone users instant access firefox browsing history, bookmarks , set of tabs recent browser session. what’s more, provides firefox “awesome bar” capability enables people favorite web sites minimal typing.

firefox home provides amazing “get , go” experience. it’s encrypted end-to-end. it’s home on web, wherever are. and, of course, it’s free.

firefox home iphone part of broader mozilla effort provide more personal web experience more user control. devices or platforms we’re unable provide “full” firefox browser (either technically or due policy), aim provide users “on go” instant access personal firefox history, bookmarks , open tabs on iphones, giving them reason keep loving firefox on desktops.

why useful?

1. left work in hurry? can pick left off access list of tabs had open on desktop.
2. need directions restaurant reading on desktop? confirmation code flight? start typing in awesome bar , pages right @ fingertips.
3. drive crazy have enter full url on iphone you’ve visited several times desktop? won’t need anymore app.

so basically, idea isn't firefox browser in sense doesn't use gecko engine, rather uses webkit engine it's available apps, , adds on xmarks sort of functions allow user see same tabset , bookmarks have on desktop?

it's not bad idea, although doesn't move me, either. having better bookmark synchronization safari nice, though. i've become spoiled xmarks in ff (which don't use anymore) , built-in synchronization of themes , bookmarks in chrome, , nice if bookmarks added computer @ home showed on iphone without having sync iphone (slash @ all, since itunes windows doesn't sync chrome bookmarks anyways, afaik).

less sure tabs -- though use chrome on both computer that's connected tv , netbook @ same time, in evening, expressly don't need same tabset on them.
