OS X Question

i hate windows vista, can't stand using it. it's why installed linux on current laptop it's faster. , wanted try commercial unix os , since current laptop getting old, figured new macbook pro's os x. ( still haven't bought yet though, )

have been trying new macbook pro's in stores today, , feels slow windows vista expected os x alot faster. tried imac 27 inch , got beachballing time , system became unresponsive more once.

can expect os x? slow? when compared linux? windows 7 running in virtual box in linux feels faster osx on imac i7

 

how many applications running on store computers? remember, unlike windows icons on dock aren't shortcuts, they're indicators actively running.

[with few exceptions,] close button on mac os x not quit application on windows , linux distros. it's number 1 thing switchers (the majority of people demoing macs in store) don't know about!
