my cck arrived , news indeed import motion jpeg videos (common in many point , shoot digicams) in .avi container (i'm using casio ex-z90). videos arrive intact, hd 1280x720. can edit (trim) imported videos while reside in "last import" or "all imported" album, although trimmed videos lose audio. don't know if file format issue or software issue. brings kind of weird limitation. while imported .avi mpegs work great on ipad, if want move them album hit snag. can't move them other galleries, , itunes, apparently not recognize .avi files either coming or going. imported .avi's not sync not can not copy .avi files computer ipad, can't copy them computer ipad either. having said that, there's thing. unless i'm doing wrong, imported photos don't seem transfer computer using itunes. maybe way works, sort of expected them transfer ipad computer. (i using pc, maybe mac thing.) guess, bottom line is, whatever import ipad cck, kinda stays there until delete them. not big deal, kind of strange.
1 other cool thing video. can send video attached email, upload videos youtube account , copy (though haven't found place paste other email). if use "email video" option, compress video smaller, more compact .mov file.
camera connection kit cool, long can live it's limitations.
update:
able transfer photos , videos imported cck, though wasn't through itunes. turns out under vista (and win7) if have windows live photo installed, when plug in usb connector ipad, requestor comes "import pictures , video" using windows live photo gallery. worked fine. assume mac users have similar option iphoto.
