depends on tv.
if have hdtv hdmi, dvi, or vga input, need appropriate video adapter output on mac.
setup tv main monitor in system preferences>>display under arrangement tab (drag little bar @ top of monitor top of other monitor switch primary , forth).
startup frontrow , / or itunes watch media. if want audio through tv, or sound system, you'll need connect speaker, headphone, or line-out tv or audio system well.
